Location Jülich Role Overview Our R&D location in Jülich, Germany, focusses on media development and early process development with corresponding analytical method development to advance Alvotech's very attractive biosimilar portfolio (monoclonal antibodies and fusion proteins to biologics blockbusters). As part of the "Process Technology and Innovations" team, we are searching for a Scientist with experience in upstream process development. Deine Aufgaben Key responsibilities:

Planning and execution of cell culture experiments at ambr15, 2 L and 10 L scale with CHO, NS0 or SP2/0 cells (fed-batch and perfusion). Utilize DoE (design of experiment) approach to develop and optimize processes (monoclonal antibodies, fusion proteins). Ensure accurate and complete documentation of lab activities and write appropriate technical reports in compliance with Alvotech's quality system. Provide technical and scientific expertise to team members, contributing to a multi-skilled and engaged Process Technology and Innovations team. Sets up and perform scale-down models to assist with process validations and manufacturing investigations, providing analysis as needed Evaluation and investigation of new technologies and alternative production processes to advance the upstream process development and manufacturing together with the team lead Reporting line:

education:
minimum qualification to master level in a relevant scientific discipline and 5 years of relevant industry experience, phd preferred experience and knowledge:

knowledge and skill of mammalian cell culture process steps including cell banking, thaw and expansion, and production (fed-batch and perfusion). knowledge in media development is a plus and not a must. knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analytical methods and interpretation of analytical data hands-on experience with design of experiment (doe) software would be beneficial experience in running and reporting complex experiments, ability to organize workload, and relevant resource requirement ability to report technical information in a written and verbal format in a timely manner. personal skills:
