What you’ll be doing

The HRBP will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in specific business groups. The HRBP will partner across the HR function and business groups to deliver value-added service to management and employees.

This role will be a mixture of remote working with occasional travel to our office in Düsseldorf

What you bring to the team

We’re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. Some of the skills and experience we look for includes:

Reporting into the Head of HR - Global Social Innovation & HR Business Partnering GBS & HEU, the responsibilities will include;
Support line managers in leading and delivering change including restructures, reorganisation, consultation, TUPE, redundancy, job redesign and redeployments.

Work closely with management, employees and Workers Council to further enhance work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers such as coaching, career development and performance improvement.
Analyse and evaluate the annual employee survey for respective business groups, working in collaboration with the senior leadership team to support in the creation of action plans.

Interpret and/or develop HR policies and procedures in light of changing company requirements and in line with evolving HR best practices, ensuring that employees and line management are kept fully aware and appraised of their legal obligations and the approach of the business to HR matters, thereby reducing risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field
5+ years HR experience within an international, environment
Strategic thinking and strong ability to prioritise
Ability to work as a HR Business Partner and coach in a generalist HR capacity
Solid understanding of HR processes and employee lifecycle
Experience in delivering HR projects
Solid communication, interviewing and negotiation skills
Demonstrable ability to positively persuade and influence
Experience in collaborating with a Works Council
In-depth knowledge of German labour law
A pragmatic approach, ability to adapt quickly to maximise opportunities, and have the tenacity to drive plans through to conclusion
Excellent Microsoft office skills, including Excel
Fluent command of German and English – both verbal and written
