ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Comtech’s Mission-Critical Technologies Government Services Division is looking Promina/REDCOM Voice Switch Operator candidates who will provide support on a broad range of user interfaces, switches, and network devices. Candidates will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.

Prefer candidates with a valid US passport.
Must have an active, current Secret Clearance.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

All candidates will perform the following duties:
P
rogram low level maintenance of REDCOM voice switches within the network.
I
nstall low level maintenance of REDCOM voice switches within the network.
O
perate low level maintenance of REDCOM voice switches within the network.
O
perate the VX-900 as a signal converter.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

All candidates will have the following minimum skills:
Ability to work both in the office and in the field
In-depth knowledge of satellite communication market
Highly developed written and oral communication skills
Experience should include but is not limited to detailed knowledge REDCOM systems.
F
ormal REDCOM operator training.
T
wo (2) years’ experience with programming and installation of REDCOM switches.
Two (2) years’ experience in a Military environment.
F
amiliarity of employment and operation of the VX-900 as a signal converter.
EDUCATION/

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred
Bachelor
’s degree in
Computer Science
,
OR
an
Associate’s
degree plus
7
total years of recent specialized experience,
OR
11
total years of recent specialized experience.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Experience in maintaining certifications related to the requirement of the position.
A+ certified.
Security+ certified.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
