Job description

• Responsible for main gearbox commodity with a purchasing volume of more than 400mio€ per year
• Develop and maintain a strong relationship with internal stakeholders (ENG, Service, Material Management, Planning, Production, Legal etc) to understand demands, market dynamics and supplier trends to identify opportunities for capacities and cost reductions
• Developing and implement a gearbox strategy in cooperation with internal stakeholders to ensure a stable and consistent supply to all NX factories world wide
• Lead negotiations for commercial agreements as well as in developing contracts and frame contracts
• Be involved in all claim related topics for main gearboxes
• Develop, implement and establish data analysis and reporting of relevant KPIs
• Continuously identify areas for improvement to drive down the cost and increase performance

Job requirements

• University degree on master level
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in gearbox manufacturing industry or wind industry, preferably as leader in gearbox commodity
• Profound knowledge about gearbox manufacturing processes and parts
• Pronounced cost- and quality awareness as well as an analytical, conceptional and target oriented way of working
• Solid technical know how, to communicate at eye level internally and externally
• Strengths in communication, teamwork and assertiveness
• Confident Communication on different management level (staff to CEO)
• Professional and confident appearance as well as the ability to competently represent our company
• Very good English-and German language skills. Spanish would be beneficial
• Ability to travel abroad as well as intercultural competences
