In this role you will be acting as tax manager for ABB Germany in all tax areas, including tax compliance, capital structures, legal structures, Mergers &Acquisitions, transfer pricing, permanent establishments, indirect tax, tax accounting and reporting as well as other tax matters. You will be leading a team of experienced tax experts and will be reporting to the HQ tax team.

Your responsibilities

  • Tax advisory for all ABB Germany companies.
  • Maintaining and optimizing of all tax processes through close coordination with local finance and business management, line manager and ABB’s head of tax.
  • Ensuring tax compliance and identifying opportunities (tax compliance, corporate tax, indirect tax, tax accounting, transfer pricing, permanent establishments, M&A).
  • Leading tax audits, liaison and managing relationship with external tax consultants.
  • Being a contact person for tax principle questions.
  • Leading and developing the tax team of ABB Germany in Technical and disciplinary aspects.
  • Liaising with ABB’s global and countries’ tax teams, leading team of experienced tax experts.
  • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Legal or similar studies.
  • Certified German tax advisor preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience ideally combining industry and consultancy experience.
  • In depth knowledge of national and international tax law.
  • Proven leadership skills, team player, excellent communication skills with intercultural/international mindset.
  • Familiarity with the MS Office suite, SAP and DATEV.
  • Fluency in German and English language.
