Job Description The Channel Distributor Sales Manager or Specialist has the primary objective to meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue quota assignments for specified Distributors and Reseller Partners. The Sales Manager is responsible for growing Mellanox's business in the assigned Distribution/Reseller channel. This includes the understanding of Distributor business goals and requirements, and being involved in the presentation of Mellanox product, solution and technology propositions to Distribution salespeopleWhat You'll be Doing
:- manage interface between mellanox and distributor.
- directly manage / sell into distributors. manage channel conflict as needed - ensure distributors meet and exceed goals, by:
- understanding distributor business strategies. communicating distributor business strategies to pertinent departments in mellanox.
- understanding and presenting mellanox value propositions (corporate, positioning, products, technologies, capabilities) to distributors and vars.
- managing distributor inventory stocking and product focus.
- managing quarterly and ad-hoc promotional activities at distributor.
- training distributor salespeople.
- monitoring and reporting competitive activities and sales.
- monitoring and reporting on distributor pos sales and inventory status.
- adjusting sales activities and product mix as needed based on pos sales.
- managing co-marketing opportunities with channel partners and third-party allies.
- satisfy internal reporting requirements by submitting reports and records in accordance with company policies and practices.
- participate in trade shows and make presentations, as required. what we need to see:
- bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering or related discipline, or the equivalent in training and experience - minimum of 5-10 years related experience in channel distribution account sales management. mba a plus.
- experience managing distribution channel accounts required.
- proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with large distributors.
- track record of strong sales in i/o, storage or computer products.
- strong team-selling skills.
- excellent oral and written communications skills including effective presentation and negotiation skills
