My client, a world leading mobile payments business that enables over 1.5 billion people to purchase goods from global content providers, is looking for a driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to build their presence within the Physical Goods segment.
We’re looking for a candidate who can contribute to our client’s growing business needs. We want an experienced sales professional who can identify, develop and convert opportunities within the physical goods and mobile commerce payments space. Ideally, you will be a customer-oriented person who has a proven track record of sales success in the payments environment. You need to be a winner, who can manage complex situations, deal with senior stakeholders and thrive in an adaptive environment.
The team is made up of over 20 nationalities and is young, dynamic and entrepreneurial. The culture is very important within this business, so if you are open-minded, and want a cool environment – then this is the role for you!
Your responsibilities
You will identify and define strategic sales opportunities in the physical goods space which can be bought via alternative payment methods (mobile)You will contribute and define business development strategy, market map and utilise your existing network within the world of payments
You can prepare business plans to a high standard as well as being a strategic thinker and can see the ‘bigger picture’
You will develop and convert leads, maintain customer relationships, present the businesses payment solutions and conduct contract negotiations in a professional manner
You will attend and participate in trade fairs, sales meetings and other specific events
You can prepare and participate in management meetings and demonstrate progress within the market
Your experience
You have at least 5 years’ experience in the payments industry / e-commerce space and have been successful in a sales and/or business development capacityYou can present and articulate yourself well. You look professional and can deal with difficult situations; building rapport quickly must be second nature to you
Excellent presentation skills coupled with creativity
Strong project management skills coupled with great attention to detail
A flexible work attitude, with the ability to prioritise and implement highly professional solutions in an adaptive environment
You can work excellently both individually and as a team player
Solution-oriented thinking and acting
You have a high level of commitment, who is hungry to win, always looking to push own limits
Excellent command of English and German
