The zebrafish embryo will be used as the central model and based on the Adverse Outcome Pathway (AOP) concept, a proof-of-concept for an alternative testing strategy of developmental toxicity will be established. The analyses linked to AOPs include innovative, advanced automated image-based assessments of phenotypes and concentration- and time-dependent transcriptome investigations.
