Subject: Development of a seasonal hydrological forecasting system
Working time: 100% (39 hours per week), limited to 2 yearsYour tasks:
- Development of a hydrological forecasting system with mHM and numerical weather prediction model
- Conduct multi-model ensemble simulations of hydrologic variables in hindcast and forecast mode
- Perform extensive statistical analysis of the forecasting quality for hydrologic extreme events (droughts, floods)
Your profile:
- Doctorate in Environmental Sciences, Physics or Mathematics
- Strong knowledge of high-level programming (e.g. FORTRAN)
- Knowledge in the field of High Performance Computing
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis of large data sets
- Good command of English
- Ability to work in a team
- Verifiable publication results in relevant areas
- Experience in hydrological modelling is an asset
