For our client, an international financial service provider located in Frankfurt/Main (Germany), we are currently looking for an IT Expert - Vendor Manager (m/w/d)

Location: Frankfurt am Main
Type of contract: permanent position direct with our client
 

Your key tasks:
  • You will contribute to the ongoing transformation and continuous improvement of the services offered in the area of strategic sourcing, contract and vendor relationships management, and service management
  • You will manage a portfolio of vendors/contracts, in collaboration with the respective budget holders, and their internal business customers, from the sourcing strategy phase through the contract and vendor management phase to the renewal or finalisation of contracts
  • You will be required to engage with the customers at the very outset of the contract lifecycle, and accompany, support and collaborate with them until the end or renewal of the contracts
  • You will manage a portfolio of internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) between the internal service provider and their customers (including the definition, establishment and/or update of SLAs and OLAs in cooperation with all relevant stakeholders, the alignment between internal SLAs and contracts with external vendors where applicable and the monitoring of the service performance and the analysis of results with the aim to improve the related services
  • You will actively contribute to the development of data analytics as well as to a continuous elimination of waste and increase of efficiency in the area of vendor and service management
 

Your profile:
  • Master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science and/or business administration or another relevant field
  • Minimum five years of professional experience with an IT portfolio, managing vendors, complex IT contracts and relationships
  • Experience in the design, implementation and continued improvement of services, processes and tools in the area of strategic sourcing, contract performance management and vendor relationships management
  • Experience in the usage of data analytics in the assessment of contract, vendor and service performance with a view to the provision of actionable and plausible recommendations for improvement
  • Ability to negotiate and agree upon with internal stakeholders and vendors
  • Knowledge of market trends in software, vendor/contract and pricing models, service delivery and performance management, as well as innovations
  • Experience regarding financial aspects of contract and vendor management would be an asset as well as experience in managing high-volume contracts
  • Practical experience of public procurement is nice to have
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques would be a plus
  • Fluent English language skills written and spoken, additional languages would be a plus
