PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
At SAP.iO Venture Studio, we’re transforming the way that SAP builds new businesses. We do this by building great products with an insanely great team. We’re looking for a Visual / Experience Design Intern to join our NVT Intrapreneurship team based in Potsdam, Germany.

About SAP.iO Venture Studio
SAP.iO Venture Studio is tasked to create those businesses, using SAP’s unique position and differentiated data sources to transform industries ranging from talent management to security. Our incubations must be big enough to move the needle at SAP, attack new market opportunities for the company, and be able to be tested through rapid iteration and constant customer feedback.

We identify promising talent and ideas, invest between $750K and $2.5M in seed stage capital, and scale the ventures over time. The startups built within the Venture Studio operate differently to traditional corporate business units: General Managers are entrusted with end-to-end responsibilities, teams manage to cash, and Boards provide oversight and regular guidance.

About NVT Intrapreneurship
The NVT Intrapreneurship team is a strategic pillar of the New Ventures and Technologies group, which is in charge of future-proofing SAP. The NVT Intrapreneurship team has an end-to-end responsibility of all pre- investment activities into the SAP.iO Venture Studio. This includes the identification of interesting opportunity areas for investment; the sourcing and screening of hundreds of early stage teams applying for investment yearly; the creation of startup curricula to educate innovators on agile methodologies; and preparing phenomenally talented teams to get investment-ready through our yearly flagship accelerator program. Yearly, our small team’s work impacts 25,000 employees at SAP and sources in 3 new investments into the SAP.iO Venture Studio.

As the NVT Intrapreneurship team’s Visual / Experience Design Intern, you play an enormous role in the overall success of the SAP.iO Venture Studio and in future-proofing SAP. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As the team’s Visual / Experience Design Intern, your main responsibilities are to:
Ensure uncompromising quality in all our internal & external appearances
Create visually engaging assets and eye-catching content (from templates and infographics to playbooks and new creative concepts)
Facilitate and contribute to the generation, critique and iteration of experiences across various touchpoints, channels and ecosystems
Translate current design trends to our overall design guidelines to transform our brand experience from good to great
Maintain and grow our brand’s identity, both in print and web
Ideate and construct ideas within a team-based design environment
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Currently pursuing a design-focused Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with strong portfolio demonstrating graphic/visual design
Skills: very good creative skills and experience with visual/communications design, sketching skills and idea development techniques to create and communicate concepts

Thorough understanding of visual design fundamentals as well as branding
Languages: fluent English is a must
Fluency with Adobe Creative Suite as well as Microsoft Office
Soft skills: Passionate, driven, extremely creative, reliable, able to work in teams, curious and open-minded
Highly self-motivated & ability to produce results independently as well as collaboratively in a team
Ability to prioritize and balance great design with multiple on-going projects and short deadlines
