Amazon Germany is looking for a Senior Project Manager Category Development (Part-time, 20-29h per week) with relentless focus on improving customer experience across website and innovative ideas to stimulate growth across our Hardlines accessories categories.

In this role, you will be part of the Retail Total CE category management, responsible for driving the growth of accessories categories across website and to improve shopping and customer experience.

You will be the business owner for this sub-set of categories, responsible for developing and steering new projects, programs and initiatives that increase the customer experience and engagement with Amazon in these categories. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate strong project management skills and leadership as you design, own and execute high impact, customer facing experience, which will drive the overall growth of that segment. EU/US as well as multi-stakeholder alignment is key to drive the necessary changes and successful measures will be rolled out to EU and potentially world-wide. Dedicated experts in respective departments will support you to achieve the necessary milestones.

A successful candidate will have experience managing complex business challenges, and has the ability to influence and successfully drive initiatives forward. You have a strong bias towards data driven decision making, and an innate ability to understand how metrics relate to business problems, to each other and how these influence a PnL.

You are a product leader who has the ability to communicate priorities and work effectively with stakeholders, including teams across retail, marketplace, marketing and finance. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that is higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving challenging problems.

You will tackle novel, challenging situations every day and have the opportunity to work with multiple teams at Amazon in different locations.
The ideal candidate is a high-energy and self-driven leader who can manage innovation and execution even within highly ambiguous situations. Qualified candidates have very strong organizational and project manager skills, excellent communication and strong analytical skills (especially for understanding and leading a PnL), as well as a strong ability to earn trust of others.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide transparency and analyses of the entire customer journey
  • Define strategies how to drive these categories further (including focus on all input factors (e.g. selection)
  • Engage with stakeholders in different departments and across EU to drive the project further
  • Design, implement, and support analysis and ad hoc access to large datasets
  • Set-up new steering mechanisms incl. an own financial reporting and reporting to senior management (EU wide)
  • Share findings, act as role model for your area of responsibilities and facilitate knowledge sharing across business teams
  • Act as point of contact for your business teams
  • Challenge and improve standard operating procedures for various operational processes.

GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN

  • University degree required, ideally with business background
  • Multiple years of experience gained e-commerce, operations consulting or analytically focused role
  • Experience in general business management
  • Affinity for numbers and outstanding analytical skills
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and happy to deal with large sets of data to identify trends and issues

  • Passionate self-starter, decisive and able to implement at speed
  • Ability to problem-solve using creative thinking and innovation.
