My client is now looking for a technical Individual with personality, who cannot only understand client requirements but can also build long lasting relationships with our customers.
Role Responsibilities:
The Field Application Engineer is responsible for optimising demand creation, revenue, and sales gross profit. Additional responsibilities include:
- Providing Industry and Technology know-how to respective teams internally
- Supporting field teams with technical expertise and active Engagement in key customers and projects across area of responsibility
- Inform Management of market conditions and competitive activities that might affect sales or provide sales opportunities (monthly reporting)
- Developing a successful and long-lasting business relationship with customer by providing technical support, technical consulting, and active support in developing product for production
- Supporting the Field Sales and Applications Teams in the area of Power / High Power
- Helping to generate, implement, and support demand creation programmes in the Power / High Power domain. This includes but is not limited to identifying new potential customers, new applications, new use cases and the monitoring of the technical solution until it reaches final product status
- Rate results and progress on a regular basis are expected. This is achieved by using a variety of tools (e.g. Project database, MS Visio, Excel) and procedures (e.g. project reviews internally and externally)
- Very good communication skills
- Willingness to travel (driver license)
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding about customer requirements, target customers, market trends and competitive landscape for topologies, Power Standards, Regulations & Technologies (e.g. Silicon Carbide (SiC), MOSFET, Gallium Nitride (GaN), power modules, etc.) They will also possess the following qualifications:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience preferably within a technical sales and development driven environment in the electronics and semiconductors industry
- Good understanding of the Analog Power Domain (Power Management, ADC/DAC, Signal Integrity, amplifiers)
- Strong relationship attitude at all levels
- Good understanding of voltage supply, and/or signalling path
- Good facilitation abilities (presentations, meetings, workshops, etc.)
- Ideally knowledge in the development of electronic drives, power supplies or solar converters
- Very good verbal and written German and English
- Skilled in using MS Office and SAP based design registration module
