Join our Pet Nutrition team in Verden (Bremen) as Global Innovation Senior Scientist (m/f/d) and be responsible for product design development globally. You work together with your counterparts from different departments and regions to bring innovations on shelf.

What would be your key responsibilities?

Deliver operational objectives of medium to large projects within the Wet Global Product Innovation team
Develop solutions from initial concept that deliver defined consumer and customer benefits and overcome identified barriers to penetration
Technical leadership for business projects from new project request until lead region factory handover
Driving standardization and harmonization of product design
Ensure products meet product performance attributes (nutrition, palatability, digestibility, cost) in line with global product performance targets
Organization and planning of product test in our Innovation Center
Proactively manage Intellectual Property risks and opportunities
Provide high quality formal and informal communication on progress of projects
Manage project risks to inform and influence business leaders
Interface with Regional R&D teams globally to facilitate transfer of best practices
Keep up to date on technical innovation, business trends, global competitors and Mars product portfolios for priority brands

What are we looking for?

University degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Food Sciences or equivalent
Min. 3 years of professional experience in a technical role, ideally experience in food manufacturing and product development or related functions
Proven experience in conducting and delivering innovation projects including implementation activities, ideally experience in prototype development
Previous experience in using Consumer Insights in product development
Ability to use software and systems for recipe development and project management
Understanding of manufacturing processes and raw material functionality
Scientific methods and mindset
Fluent in English, any additional language is a benefit
