Postdoctoral Scientist (f/m/x) NutNet Europe

Working Time: 100% (39 hrs/wk), from 01.11.2022 limited to 30.09.2024

Your tasks:

• Leading collaborative projects or synthesis workshops involving the global experimental networks Nutrient Network (

and DRAGNet (

• Synthesising regional, especially European, biodiversity data and experimental responses
• Impacts of nutrient pollution on biodiversity and ecosystem functioning
• Theory and mechanisms of coexistence
• Application of new sensor technologies

Your profile:

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• PhD degree in community ecology or equivalent field with a strong background in theoretical and/or experimental biodiversity research
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English, basic knowledge of German language desirable or commitment to learn
• Ability to travel and do field work (including a driving license valid in Europe)
• Team player, high motivation for interdisciplinary and international scientific cooperation
• Ability to prepare high-impact manuscripts for international journals independently
