Localization project specialist

• Work with various Garmin teams to resolve localization issues of Garmin products
• Assist in the localization of voice input and output with its special linguistic challenges
• Maintain terminology to ensure accuracy, consistency, and cultural conformity
• Train and assist colleagues on localization tools and processes
• Cooperate with other globally distributed teams like engineering, testing and product management to drive process and quality improvements
• Document and evangelize localization guidelines and best practices
• Work with translation vendor to achieve high quality and on-time delivery of translations

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in or equivalent education and corresponding experience
• Ideally experience with localization processes and technologies
• Excellent communication skills in both English and German
• Ideally knowledge of other languages besides German and English
• Proficiency with common office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Comfortable with software and related technology
• Ideally some knowledge of software engineering processes and tools like JIRA
• Self-motivated, service- and team oriented
