Your tasks and responsibilities
- Commercial responsibility in rare diseases and emerging/new technologies (including but not limited to new modalities like gene and cell therapy as well as digital therapeutics) within New Product Commercialization & Portfolio Strategy, Strategic Marketing
- Drive commercial assessment and development of internal and in-licensed assets, including but not limited to target product profile (TPP), commercial attractiveness/business case, market understanding/buying process, patient/customer segmentation, product/portfolio positioning, branding, pricing, medical marketing, communication, KOL development, market access and internal/external communication, according to R&D manual as well as New Product Commercialization Franchise Core Team handbook
- Build/extend the commercial expertise in rare diseases and new technologies including commercialization models and pricing/reimbursement strategies in collaborations with Market Access and key markets/regions
- Drive pipeline growth by defining BD&L search criteria and partnering strategy and support M&A, BD&L, and partnering activities including regional opportunities
- Serve as commercial/marketing representation at GPTs and Franchise Core Teams (FCTs) as appropriate as well as an interface between Strategic Marketing and BD&L, R&D, Strategic Planning, Finance and key regions
Who you are
- Post-graduate degree (Master's/Ph.D) in life sciences with long-term relevant business experience
- Profound therapeutic and/or commercial knowledge in rare diseases; trend scouting/knowledge in new technologies (including but not limited to gene and cell therapies, digital therapeutics, etc.) would be essential
- Multiple years of combined experience in the fields of R&D, marketing and/or market access, new products planning in an international pharmaceutical/biotech or consulting company are required
- Highly developed leadership skills and demonstrated strategic thinking as well as exceptional analytical and conceptual skills are necessary
- Excellent communication capabilities and ability to prepare high quality/concise presentations
- Ability to cooperate and work in teams, high level of interpersonal and intercultural skills
- High degree of flexibility, personal drive and commitment
- Willingness for further professional education and development outside one's comfort zone
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
