PostDoc / Senior Scientist in Elemental Analysis (ICP

working hours: 100 % (39h/week) (part time possible), limited for three years with the option for a permanent position

Your tasks:

• Research on elemental analyis with different approaches of ICP-MS (LC-, LA-, sp-, sc-)
• Research on metals and metalloids and their species in biological systems and/or the environment
• Organization and control of the inorganic analytical service of the Department
• Support of the research programme of UFZ
• Development of internal and external research cooperations
• Acquisition of third-party funding at national and European level

Your profile:

• Excellent PhD in chemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental sciences or equivalent
• Experience as postdoctoral scientist in elemental analysis and its application
• Documented expertise with ICP-MS, LA-ICP-MS or LC-ICP-MS
• High motivation and interest in multi-disciplinary research
• Very good written and oral communication skills in English
