The role

For our Engineering team PE-SPAS (Suspension Powertrain Axle Solution) located in 
Hanover
 we are currently looking for a 
 

Functional Safety Manager (gn*)

*gn = gender neutral

In this role you will be responsible to drive the functional safety processes in accordance with ISO 26262 for our development projects in the area of suspension, driveline control and wheel brake systems. You will be mainly involved in all functional safety tasks on system level (performing safety analysis, developing of functional and technical safety concepts). Furthermore you will drive the break-down of the system safety concept into electronic hardware and software safety concepts. You will support our technical project managers in planning and monitoring of all functional safety related activities. 

Key Accountabilities

Takeover of Functional safety planning and monitoring activities in projects
Alignment of safety activities and responsibilities with customers and suppliers
Support WABCO wide risk assessments and safety concepts
Develop and derive functional safety requirements based on safety concepts
Perform safety analysis (qualitative and quantitative) like FTA, FMEA, (FMEDA)
Performing verification reviews of safety relevant work products
Supporting analyzes and escalation of safety anomalies
Support and coach projects

Requirements

2+ year engineering experience in functional safety relevant automotive systems
Experience in engineering of automotive electronics is an asset
Experience / knowledge of safety related engineering processes and methods
Good knowledge of WABCO products is an asset
Bachelor / Master Degree in Engineering
Fluent in English
German language skill is an asset
