PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP’s supply chain portfolio digitally connects the entire supply chain, to help our customers to deliver at their best. Our ultimate goal is to enable a touchless supply chain leading to intelligent self-regulating and optimizing fulfillment processes delivering the perfect order to our customer’s customer.Core elements of the SAP digital supply portfolio are the solutions SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) and SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM).
With SAP TM customers can run activities connected with the physical transportation of goods from one location to another using suitable transportation modes (road, rail, sea or air). The solution supports the creation and monitoring of highly sophisticated transportation plans fulfilling the relevant constraints (e.g. service level, costs, and resource availability), determination of options to save costs and to optimize the use of available resources, react to transportation events (like traffic jams, accidents etc.) and find solutions to overcome unforeseen deviations from the original transportation plans.
With SAP EWM customers can manage simple as well as high-volume warehouse operations. The integrated functions and business processes within SAP EWM provide state of the art process and inventory transparency, precise planning of warehouse steps, as well as efficient distribution and storage processes within a warehouse including fully automated warehouse operations.
We are continuing to invest in delivering the intelligent enterprise using the latest technology within SAP S/4HANA cloud and on-premise and would like to further grow our development team in Germany (Walldorf, St. Ingbert) which is collaborating closely with our teams in India (Bangalore) and China (Shanghai).
In your role as Associate Developer (f/m/d) you will be part of a supply chain execution development scrum team and a vital contributor to the full development cycle by discovering requirements together with our customers and partners, identifying the appropriate architecture, designing, implementing and testing the features as well as maintaining it.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Develop new features in the area of transportation and warehouse management going through the complete software development cycle, including design, coding, testing and quality assuranceWork with the newest technologies – object-oriented programming (esp. ABAP OO), HANA database technology and business software application technology (like e.g. CDS) based on state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills
Be part of a cross-functional development team, share expertise and ensure product success
Analyze and resolve complex issues (in real business scenarios)
Drive topics in your area of expertise also in collaboration with our (co-innovation) customers
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills:
University Degree in Science or EngineeringExperience in at least one OO programming language: HTML5/UI5, JavaScript or ABAP OO
Strong analytical and communication skills
An open minded, problem-solving attitude and positive spirit even under challenging conditions
Ability for collaboration and teamwork, quality focus and cloud mindset
Languages: Fluent spoken and written German and English
Preferred skills:
Domain knowledge in logistics especially in transportation or warehouse management is beneficial but not a pre-requisiteWORK EXPERIENCE
We are addressing early talents with no/limited work experienceBackground in logistics and/or software development is beneficial
