Internship/Thesis Engineering Tires / Process Development in Hannover

For the area Engineering Tires / Process Development at our location in Hannover-Stöcken we are looking for an intern (m/f/diverse), who will support us for at least 2 - 4 months, starting October 2020. This internship is supposed to be the preparation for a following thesis with the subject of flow simulation.

During the internship you support the following activities:

• Simulation of the flow of rubber compounds in die heads of extruders with the help of the simulation tool “Polyflow”
• Optimization of the design of flow channels in extruder die heads
• Presentation and appraisal of the results
• Checking and verification of the simulation results on real extrusionlines
• Studies in the areas of simulation, mechanical engineering, process engineering or similar
• Good command of flow simulation tools, preferably “Polyflow”
• Very good written and spoken command of both German and English
• Basic knowledge of extrusion, rubber processing, rheology beneficial
• Profound analytical thinking, communication and organisational skills
