• Hazardous substance management & hazardous goods management:
• Classification and labelling of our products according to CLP and Transport ADR/ IMDG/ IATA
• Validation and evaluation of toxicological and physical test data of chemicals
• Creation of REACH dossiers
• REACH registration
• Creation of Safety Data Sheets
• EU Product notification
• CE Conformity assessment (Product safety act)
• SCIP notification
• Communication to authorities and suppliers/ customers
• Support our product compliance system
• Support organizations with chemical compliance questions and technical documentation requirements
• Evaluate early product design reviews focusing on compliance needs according to industry standards and legal requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to manage, identify and supply reports on product and supply chain materials of concern
• Drive the development of an internal education program
• Independently analyze and recommend applicability and response for international EHS directives, laws and regulations that apply for our Berner products

What distinguishes you

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemistry and Business Management, Industrial Engineering and Business Management, or comparable; alternatively: technical education / studies in business administration
• Extensive training EU – GHS (REACH, CLP) CVV etc. regulations
• Experience in hazardous substance management
• May years of work experience in an international environment with chemical product compliance
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Communicate work plans, schedules, resource needs as well as present analysis and results, and drive critical decision
