Limited to 20 months, starting 1 September 2022; 65% working time
Your tasks:
The successful candidate will a) engage in assessing the CAP’s impacts on biodiversity, on equity and rural societies; b) compare alternative mixes of approaches (including citizen science) to monitor the effect of current and future policies; c) develop recommendations on how European Policies can help scaling up good agroecological practices; d) support literature reviews, analyses and scientific publications; e) coordinate WP6 of the project; and f) aid in knowledge transfer and science-policy interactions.Your profile:
- PhD in a related research discipline (e.g. ecology, geography, environmental science, conservation biology, political sciences)
- Knowledge and understanding of European policies, especially the Common Agricultural Policy, Habitats Directive and the Green Deal (essential).
- Familiarity and experience with the science-policy interface
- Demonstrated experience in teamwork, including project management and the capacity to communicate with various people and stakeholder groups from various EU member states.
- Experience in working within an interdisciplinary context, including the handling and understanding of both ecological and socioeconomic concepts and data (highly beneficial).
- Statistical skills, and demonstrated experience with statistical programming languages (e.g. R) and methods (e.g. GLMM, GAM), as well as experience with geographical data and analyses (using GIS software), are highly beneficial but not essential
- High proficiency in English (both written and verbal), including experience with scientific writing, is essential.
