For our client, a global Telecommunications company we are looking for an RF Engineer – 5G (f/m) on a freelance basis.
Project start: ASAP, latest March 2019
Project duration: 6 months+
Location: Munich
Languages: English

Tasks:

• TX bring-up and compliance testing in accordance with 3GPP
• System Integration
• RF debugging, RF matching and measurements to optimize the product performance
• Validation of a new complex chip on RF Engine level with various tools (Engine, Platform) including HW+SW debugging
• System bring-up on all cellular RATs including 5G NR
• RF Front End control validation & debugging.
• Execution of pre-defined/agreed test-campaigns.
• Error tracking.
• Preparation of optimization guides.
• RF system implementation for 5G NR
• 5G NR Dual connectivity RF system optimization

Skills:

• Solid RF fundamental background
• Knowledge in legacy cellular standards 5G NR and 2G / 3G / 4G
• Experience with 3GPP test spec
• RF debugging and optimization on RF layer (no protocol testing) on HW and FW
• Hands-on test experience in lab; experience with communication tester (e.g.RnS)
• Measurement automation
• Matlab knowledge
• Understanding of MIPI bus (RFFE)
• Experience in ULCA and ET technique appreciated
• fluent English (written and spoken)
