YOUR TEAM

You will work in the department "Processes and Compliance” which is part of a dynamic, fast growing team in the chief technology area. We develop innovative processes, methods and tools to enable CARIAD developing software and hardware according to newest systems engineering technologies. State of the art processes are key to ensure software and hardware innovations on wheels for the entire Volkswagen Group. These processes will enable efficient product development of software and hardware that inspires our customers with new digital skills and features every day, from more intelligent cockpits, to highly automated driving, new energy and charging solutions, as well as innovative mobility solutions and services. We are proud to be a part of the organizational unit that develops the processes, methods and tools for the future of functional and systems oriented product development.

We are currently searching for two Process Owners for the team, so you would be either responsible for the process of Requirements Management or Release Management. Both are cross-domain processes within the Systems Engineering process. The Requirements Management process includes all sub-processes for stakeholder needs assessment, derivation of functional and non-functional requirements, analysis and structuring of requirements. The Release Management process deals with the administration, planning, scheduling and control of a system, function and component in all applicable phases and environments - from development to testing to deployment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Overall accountability in CARIAD for the design, the update and the process performance
  • Accountable for definition of process targets across all solutions trains in CARIAD, and in the Volkswagen group and responsible for the alignment with all operational stakeholders
  • Management of all process related experts within the process community across all domains and solution trains
  • Accountable of the process structure, the definition of inputs and outputs, templates and methods as well as the training material and KPIs
  • Accountable to acknowledge the tailoring of the process in the solution trains
  • Accountable to review and improve the process definition continuously
  • Responsible to communicate the process within CARIAD
  • Responsible for managing the process and information architecture (EAM)
  • Cooperation with the departments of transformation, cultural change management, communication, and training (competence and qualification planning)

WHO YOU ARE

  • University degree in systems engineering, computer science or engineering or software development
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the fields of automotive/ aerospace electronics
or software development
In-depth knowledge and understanding of process interfaces and the flow of information between processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and creating an impact with stakeholders at different levels, departments and regions in a matrix organization
  • Good overview and understanding of typical methods and tools to support the processes to be implemented
  • Ideally experience as acting Process Owner and with software development processes
  • Ideally experience in Systems Engineering, Automotive SPICE
  • Knowledge and experience in working with agile methods like SAFe is a plus
  • Proactive, supportive, structured, solution-oriented and able to bring experience and methodological knowledge to this new organization
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, German is a plus
