Screen Content Analyst
To provide rigorous, timely and well-presented analysis on all matters relating to Screen Content for CinemaxX, Germany. Provide accurate data and analysis that enhances quality of scheduling leading to enhanced business profitability. Provides support and daily management of the Content Scheduling tools including the introduction of new AI programming tools to generate optimal film schedules.
Key Accountabilities
Forecasting
- Support the continual improvement of CxX forecasting capability in order to improve the quality of scheduling and improved collaboration across Departments.
- Owner of forecasting steady submissions for Budgeting and Forecasting
- Ensure the film model is accurate and up to date providing an audit trail of any changes and their impact
- Undertake analysis to understand the impact that content and scheduling have on market share and profit, including assessing the impact that distributor constraints have on share (e.g. 2D/3D share, OV etc) performance
- Timely provision of ad-hoc analyses as required including areas such as: pre-implementation vs actual business performance, competitor activity, weekly KPIs
- Identify trends in the business that require further analysis to improve understanding of changes whilst also identifying opportunities to maximize profitability
- Track competitor activity and ensure that any variances to forecast are understood and where appropriate addressed
- Provide analysis and input into forecast variances highlighted in weekly and monthly KPI reporting
- Highlight scheduling key trends and insights to be a driver in changing strategies to maximise profitability
- Support the introduction of new AI scheduling tool across total CxX circuit, including pilot test phases and the following analysis of results
- Software development work with the external Scheduling providers to improve their software and models and to further optimize performance of the System
Data and Information Management
- Support Group Screen Content in the management of databases (Market Share, Competitor Times, Site Information) ensuring that information is updated and mapping is maintained in order that different data sources can be linked for analysis purposes
Relationship Management and Communication
- Build and maintain effective cross functional working relationships, gaining buy-in and engagement to recommendations
The Person
Technical Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Experienced gained within an analytical role, ideally within a fast paced B2C environment
- Experience of analysing customer behaviour to support business decisions.
- Proven ability in analysing and interpreting large volumes of data facilitating informed and robust business decisions
- Able to demonstrate examples of working cross functionally with other departments to achieve improved performance
- Proven success in translating large amounts of data into a clear story.
- Fluent in both German and English

- IT literate:
- Advanced Excel; Database, Financial Modeling, Statistical tests, VBA, Python R etc an advantage.
- PowerPoint; able to create effective presentations.
- Word; able to write compelling proposals.

Ideally a degree in Statistics, Economics, Science or Business would be advantageous but not essential. MBA qualification is also advantageous.
